Karen Heumann
Karen Heumann is a results-driven attorney manager with a unique set of technical, market, and presentation skills and over twenty-five years of legal, psychology, marketing, and experience leveraging political, civil, and business relationships. Karen is a graduate of University of San Diego, School of Law, with a background in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Purdue University, and Psychology and Mathematics degree from Bowling Green State University. She served as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of San Diego, managed a consulting firm for many years, and excels in competitive intelligence.
Karen lives with her family on a beautiful 16-acre ranch in San Diego County, with a boutique Grenache vineyard, chickens, rolling hills, and wildflowers. Preserving the San Pasqual Valley as an agricultural and wildlife preserve, protecting riparian corridors, holding space for native wildlife balanced against the need for wildfire prevention and sound brush management is a passion of hers as both an environmentalist and after losing her former home in the San Diego wildfires. Karen provided free legal services and mediation training to hundreds of people impacted by the wildfires and served on the Board of Directors for RB United for ongoing emergency preparedness. Karen is pragmatic, practical, and passionate about service and meeting the needs of individuals and organizations.
