Natalia Spiridonova

Natalia Spiridonova is a skilled attorney with a strong educational background and extensive legal experience. She holds a Ph.D. in Law, demonstrating her deep commitment to legal scholarship and research. In addition to her doctoral degree, Natalia has earned two master’s degrees, further solidifying her comprehensive understanding of various legal disciplines.
Her academic prowess extends beyond her own education. Natalia has contributed to the legal field as an educator, having taught law at two prestigious Russian institutions: Lomonosov Moscow State University and the Higher School of Economics. This teaching experience not only showcases her expertise but also her ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively.
Throughout her career, Natalia has gained significant experience in transactional work, particularly in commercial, corporate and Intellectual Property law.
She started her legal career at the Russian Supreme Court as the Legal Counselor at the Analytical Department, where she drafted court opinions, developed official guidance on statutory interpretation for the lower courts, prepared rulings of the Plenary Session of the Supreme Court, conducted legal analysis of draft legislative bills.
Natalia continued her legal career at big law firms, including Hogan Lovells (CIS), where she gained experience in transactional work by managing a diverse portfolios of clients’ Intellectual Property, conducted thorough IP clearance searches in multiple jurisdictions and drafted complex license and sublicense agreements involving trademarks, industrial designs, patents, copyrights, and trade secrets.
In addition to her work within law firms, she has successfully built her own client base, demonstrating her commitment to personalized service and strong client relationships. As part of her private practice, Natalia structured for her clients complex corporate and IP transactions, including M&As and IP charges, and managed the clients’ IP portfolios.
After 4 years of legal practice, Natalia completed the LL.M program at McGeorge Law School with the 3.87 GPA and the Award of Excellence to apply her expertise in American market and use the gained skills and knowledge to assist the clients. Natalia’s multilingual skills, with full professional proficiency in English, primary fluency in Russian, and working proficiency in German, enable her to navigate international legal matters with ease.
